Can we have project code hosted in some public repository?

This one's mainly for project guides if we can come up with a general policy, but individual groups could start doing this.

There are some of us not in Pune who can help out with lots of code if I had access to it. If all the projects were to be checked in to some public repo from where I could enlist it, or view it, it would help greatly in getting more eyeballs on the project, and allowing me to contribute beyond conceptual levels.

If there's a repository that we can book en-masse, I'd even be willing to sponsor the cost. It'd also create a great place for others to refer to snippets of previously-done stuff.

Yes, this is something we had in mind for sometime. Let's give the projects a couple of weeks to settle down and we will start getting code synced onto google code and have that as a process going forward.
That's a great idea Archis. It'll also inherently develop the quality of codes I believe.
