if you are using latest adt then

"Eclipse Helios (Version 3.6) or higher is required for ADT 16.0.1."

http://developer.android.com/sdk/eclipse-adt.html

GPE latest version can be installed.

Best is use Eclipse 3.7

Nikita Kelkar Comment by Nikita Kelkar on February 9, 2012 at 7:53pm

Can GPE and ADT Plugin be installed in the same eclipse??.. also im trying to install GPE 3.5 from the latest update site archive... however it says "Google App Engine Tool for Android" cannot be found?? if i de-select this option installation proceeds normally... But to continue with a GAE+Android app do we need some special settings or tools?

Hi Nikhil,
I have tried the UI program which is posted by you but its giving an error as " Invalid start in LinearLayout in main.xml ". Please give me same solution for it, I am trying it to resolve from 2 days but unable to do it.
Nikhil Bhawkar Comment by Nikhil Bhawkar on June 6, 2011 at 10:58am

Hi Santosh,

Have a look at the numerous apps in the android app market. Decide your area of interest, eg. gaming, social n/w, etc. and then do some brain storming with the people from your group... You'll come up with plenty of ideas. Point is to "INNOVATE". If the idea is your brainchild, you'll work feverently for its completion.

Cheers,

Nikhil
