college e-map with location finder

1. Idea :

>>Problem statement and scope:

 It sometimes gets difficult to new comer/visitor to reach a department/location when he don’t know the way or path to reach there in college having big campus like Fergussson college. Then they will have to ask peoples who know campus very well. Suppose a person want to meet some faculty member at some department and he has no time to ask someone the way, in this case there is need of such system that will help user to show proper direction for destination.We know GPS is available for getting location details but we have to find appropriate direction to destination.

>>Scope of the project :

  This system enables android cell phone user to get destination location details with proper directions to go. It can also be  used to find which faculty member is where and at what time.Similarly, this project can be implemented for overall pune city.

     Also voice interface is provided that will tell whether to go right/left to reach destination.We can provide voice choice accordingly languages.

>>Novelty of idea:

 We are using GPS  to track current and destination location of user.This will highlight the path step by step to destination.

This will also give details about distance between current and destination.Also time required to reach is also shown.

Using this system it will be easy to user who want to meet some faculty member,to get information about which is department of that member and how to go there along with in what time he/she will available there.

>>Relevance and applications:

 The app would be very useful to users new in the college campus or area and who don't know which staff is available where.

5. Departmentwise staff information is maintained along with availability duration so that user can decide at which time to go and not.

6.Alert is activated to indicate user  is reached to destination.
